When you're integrating UpViral into your own website (using an Integrated Campaign) you'll have to go through various steps first. Please see article below:
In case you've set up your integrated campaign but it's not working as you'd expected, here are various things you could check.
#1: Have you configured the exact correct URLs?
Inside your UpViral campaign settings you'll need to make sure that the lead page URL and thank-you page URL are spelled exactly the same.
If one of the URLs is slightly different, it's not going to work -- so simply copy from the 3rd part tool and paste to your campaign.
#2: Have you used the UpViral web form?
On the integration page, scroll to the part of the page that says "Step 3: Add the following HTML form code into the ‹body› tag of your lead capture page" and you'll see this code (see the box in blue):
It's very important that you're using this code. This means that your audience needs to enter their email address onto your site, at which point their email has to be submitted into this form.
Tip: when you enter your email address into your campaign, and your email address does not appear on the "Leads" page (inside your UpViral campaign), chances are that you haven't used this webform yet.
#3 Have you added the JS codes on all your pages, just before the end of each page?
On Integrate into your custom lead capture pages scree, scroll down to part that says "Step 4: Add the following code to the header or footer of your lead capture page" and you'll see this code (see the box in blue)
Make sure this code is added to all the pages that are mentioned in your campaign - which means your opt-in page and thank-you page(s).
Note: These codes should be just before the </body> tags on each of your pages.
#4 Have you added the iFrame code?
You can either select the widget to appear as embedded into the page or to pop up on a smaller screen. Scroll down to the part of the page that says "Step 5: Add the following code where you want your share widget to appear. It's the same code as provided on the 'Review & Publish' page", so it's possible you've already added this:
Make sure that this is added on your thank-you page.
Note: When you have selected the widget to appear as a popup, this step is not needed.
#5: Have you cleared your cookies?
When you test your setup before completion, it's possible that your internet browser saves a cached version of that page. When you later finish the integration, it could still show the old version - so that it looks like it's not working.
Please clear your browsers cache in order to test it again - so you can see whether it's currently working.
