When you're running a giveaway on UpViral, you have the ability to hand out discount coupon codes as rewards. When someone then unlocks their reward, they'll automatically receive their discount coupon.

In this guide we'll guide you through setting this up for your giveaway campaign.

How to add your coupon reward?

Inside your account, head over to the "Rewards" section of the campaign. 

Click on "Add a reward".

That will open up a popup as shown below.

First of all, enter the name of your reward. 

Secondly enter the amount of points that your participants need in order to unlock this.

Types of discount coupon rewards

There are two types of coupon rewards you can use:

  • Multi-use coupon codes
  • Single-use coupon codes

A multi-use coupon code is one coupon code that will be given to everyone who unlocks that reward (so everyone will get the same coupon code).
When using a multi-use coupon code, you'll only need to enter one coupon code.

A single-use coupon code means that every coupon code will only be used once. You'll have to enter a list of coupon codes (one for each line), where after UpViral will automatically use one of these coupon codes every time someone unlocks that reward.

You'll need to add one coupon code per line.

Once someone unlocks a reward, that coupon code will be removed from the list of coupon codes and will be put on the "used coupon codes" list - so you can see exactly which coupon codes have been used.

How to deliver the coupon codes?

In order to deliver the coupon code to your participants, you'll need to set up an email notification for the reward you've just created.

Head over to the "Email Notifications" page inside your campaign.

Click on the email notification meaning the reward, and click "Add an Email Message".

In this email you can tell them about the fact that they've just unlocked their discount coupon.

You can include their discount coupon by putting the "Coupon Code" keyword into your email.

That code will then automatically be replaced with their coupon code.
