This guide provides the step-by-step process of integrating your campaign with ClickFunnels.

After going through this guide you will be able to:

  • Create Optin or a Lead page in ClickFunnels

  • Create a Thank You page in ClickFunnels

  • Integrate Lead and Thank You page with UpViral Referral System

  • Integrate your ClickFunnels with UpViral

(If you have already created your opt-in and thank you/share page in ClickFunnels, skip this section and scroll immediately to "INTEGRATING CLICKFUNNELS WITH UPVIRAL")


Now, this is the process where we will start creating the Lead and Thank you page in ClickFunnels. The Lead Page will be the opt-in or entry point into the giveaway. People will sign up for the giveaway via this page.

When the participants enter their information and signup for the giveaway, they will be directed to a thank you page, which acknowledges their participation and motivates them to share the giveaway with their friends and circles to increase their chances of winning.

Let us start with the opt-in page. Here are the steps:

Step 1. Log in to your ClickFunnels dashboard. On your Click Funnel dashboard, click Add New:

Step 2. On the next window, select “Collect Emails” as your goal

NOTE: The objective behind your giveaway is to capture emails and build up an email/contact list of participants. Therefore, your lead page must be designed to capture emails.

Step 3. Nominate a name for your funnel and then click “Build Funnel”

NOTE: You can leave the Select Group Tag blank.

Step 4. This will direct us to the funnel dashboard. Select an Email Optin Template. In this case, we will select "Dark Big Headline".

Step 5. Click “Edit Page” to edit the page and edit the Optin Page as necessary.

Step 6. Personalize the template according to your preference. Do not forget to save your changes. Click the “Save” button located in the upper right-hand corner.

You have now successfully created your opt-in page on ClickFunnels. To go back to your funnel dashboard, click on the “Exit” button.


Step 1. Click on “Thank You” from the funnel dashboard. Select a “Thank You” template. In this case, we will be using the "Download Clean Dotted" template.

Step 2. Click the “Edit Page” button and edit the Thank You Page as necessary. 

Step 3. After you made your changes, do not forget to save your progress. Click the “Save” button located at the upper right-hand corner of the page

You have successfully created a “Thank You” page on ClickFunnels. To go back to your funnel dashboard, click on the “Exit” button.


At this point, both UpViral and ClickFunnel campaigns have been set up.

Step 1. Get the actual ClickFunnels URL of your Optin Page and Thank you page.

Step 2. Go to the Publish tab of the UpViral campaign of your recently created UpViral campaign, scroll down, and click "Embed campaign" 

This will show you a popup where you would select the second option which is to "Embed campaign on your website"

Step 3.  Enter the URL where you want to embed your UpViral widget/form on (this is the link of your ClickFunnels' opt-in page): 

  • Choose HTML Form in the second step "Opt-in widget settings":

  • Place in the link of ClickFunnel's thank you/share page to Step 3: Share widget settings

Step 4. Go back to ClickFunnels. From your funnel dashboard, select your Optin page and click Edit Page.


Step 5. From the page editor, hover your mouse to the SETTINGS menu at the top and click “Integrations”.

Step 6. Under EMAIL INTEGRATION SETTINGS appearing on the right pane, set the following:

  • INTEGRATION should be null (Html Form)

  • ACTION should be Integrate Existing Form

Step 7. On “PASTE WEB FORM CODE (HTML)”, paste the code under “Add the following HTML form code into the ‹body› tag of your lead capture page” from UpViral then click on “Parse & Save WebForm”:

Step 8. Ensure that the name field matches up with the respective input, text area, or drop-down elements.

Step 10. Return to the editing page by clicking anywhere outside the “Email Integration Settings” window and go back to “Settings” then select “Tracking Codes”.

Step 12. Click the "Call to Action Button" on the opt-in page and then click on the "Set Action" button 

Step 13. Make sure that the "SUBMIT ORDER / SUBMIT FORM" is ticked. 

Step 14. Exit out from the window to go back and click SAVE at the top. Go back to the funnel dashboard

Step 15. From your funnel dashboard, select your Thank You page and click Edit Page.

Step 16. We will need to add an ELEMENT. Hover your mouse to the ELEMENTS menu at the top and click ADD ELEMENT.

Step 17. Under ELEMENTS appearing on the right pane, kindly scroll down and select CUSTOM JS/HTML. Drag it to the location where you want the share widget added. 

Step 18. Click the element you added and paste the final code from UpViral.

Step 19. Exit out of the window and save your progress. Test your campaign and make sure that the integration is working and the campaign is working as expected. 


If you are doing a multi-page funnel, you need to add the HTML Javascript (tracking code) that looks like the code below (note: this isn't the actual code, but you would still need to look for this in the fourth step of your HTML form installation codes):

It must be added under the main funnel settings (Settings > Head Tracking Code) to make sure that JavaScript will be added to all pages. Do not forget to save your progress. See below

This will ensure that UpViral will pass the lead details to page 2, page 3, and so on up to the share page. ClickFunnels will add the JavaScript on the header of each page instead of you manually pasting the code on each page.
