How does one-click registration work?

Using this method you can send out contest invite links to your email list. When they click on the link, UpViral will automatically add them to the campaign and show them your campaign's thank you page or the social sharing page. This will eliminate the need for them to go through the lead page / opt-in page signup and directly onto sharing the contest with their circles.

Using UpViral one-click registration for your email list, you can create two different types of registrations for your email list.

A - Thank You Page Link

Based on the created link (more on it in next part) UpViral will automatically add all list members as contest participants, who clicked the link you shared.

When they click this link, they'll join your campaign/contest and they'll see your thank you page.

B - Social Share Link

Directly let them share your campaign on any of the supported social networks.

Once they click on the link they're added to the campaign and will be forwarded to the sharing screen.

Create One-Click Registrations Links:

To start off, log in to your UpViral Dashboard and navigate to your campaign. Open your campaign first.

From the campaign menu select Publish & Embed. (Note: if the Publish tab cannot be clicked, this means your campaign is either still in draft mode or is paused. Make sure that your campaign is launched first in order to see the Publish page).

Scroll down to the section where it says "Share One-click signup link with your email subscribers" and click the "Share" button.

A popup will then appear where you can select which autoresponder you'll be using to send the link from and which action you want performed when someone clicks on the link.

Once you've selected the appropriate selections, click "Generate Link" and you'll get a one-click signup link which you can copy and paste directly into the email you'll be mass sending to your contacts on your autoresponder.

Note: The one-click registration link changes for each autoresponder. So make sure to copy the correct link if you switch between autoresponders.

Autoresponder not Found in the Dropdown

If your autoresponder is not found in the dropdown, don't worry, there may still be a way to use one-click signup links for your autoresponder but you would just have to manually adjust the link. In this case choose "Other" at the very bottom of the list.

In general, the only things that change in the one-click signup are the custom values for the name and email address.

For example:

Let's say your campaign's link is https://upvir.al/contest

In ActiveCampaign, your one-click signup link will be https://upvir.al/contest?uvemail=%EMAIL%&uvname=%NAME%

In Aweber, it's https://upvir.al/contest?uvemail={!EMAIL}&uvname={!NAME}

In MailChimp, it's https://upvir.al/contest?uvemail=*|EMAIL|*&uvname=*|NAME|*

For others, it will be https://upvir.al/contest?uvemail=<EMAIL>&uvname=<NAME>

This means, you would just have to replace the <EMAIL> and <NAME> with the corresponding custom values on your autoresponder's email editor. If you're unsure how to replace these with your own autoresponder's custom values, you may need to reach out to their support team just in case (or they might have an article on this on their helpdesk).

Submitting tracking information into the One-Click Links (Advanced Users Only)

Apart from dynamically adding your participants' name and email address into the one-click-signup link, it's also possible to add in who referred the person who clicked the link.

Adding the link to your email:

In your email service select the "Create hyperlink button"

Add the one-click signup link to your popup, and add some text to show your users EG: CLICK HERE

Please note: this is for advanced users only.

This can be done by adding the &ref_id=XXXXX to the end of your one-click signup, in which XXXXX is the referral ID from the previous users. To use this effectively, it'll have to be dynamically added into the 1-click-signup links, which likely requires custom development on your end.

Before: ?uvemail=<EMAIL>&uvname=<NAME>

After: ?uvemail=<EMAIL>&uvname=<NAME>&ref_id=<REFERRAL-ID>

Example:

Let's say John (participant #1) joins your UpViral campaign. Once subscribed, his unique invite link is http://upvir.al/ref/1234ABCD.

Next, Peter (participant #2) signs up by clicking on the following one-click sign-up link:

http://upvir.al/thanks/123/123?uvemail=peter@peter.com&uvname=Peter&ref_id=1234ABCD

Once clicked, John (participant #1) will get his points for referring Peter (participant #2).
