In this article, we will cover how to add a Terms & Conditions checkbox to your opt-in page, to ensure your audience actively agrees with your terms and conditions before entering your campaign.

Step 1: Writing your Terms & Conditions

Before adding a Terms & Conditions to your page, first, make sure you either have your own Terms & Conditions page which you can redirect to when the participant clicks the T&C link on your lead capture page or you have one written by going to the "Advanced" section of your campaign editor.

Step 2A: Adding Terms & Conditions on the Lead Capture Page

Once you've written and prepared your Terms & Conditions, you can enable or disable it on the opt-in page.

Enter your campaign setup page. Under Design Pages, click the Edit Template button of your lead capture page.

Now, you are inside the lead capture page template editor.

Upon clicking on your form fields, a sidebar should appear on the right-hand side of the page. If you scroll down to the bottom of the sidebar, there's an option now to enable or disable the Terms & Conditions as well as enable or disable the checkbox for requiring participants to accept the T&C.

When your participants click on the Terms & Conditions, a pop-up window within the page would automatically appear containing the text you put in the Advanced settings.

Step 2B: Linking to Your Terms & Conditions Page (Optional)

In case you have the Terms & Conditions up on a separate page outside of UpViral, you can make sure that the Terms & Conditions link redirects to that page by clicking "URL" instead of Text on the right-hand sidebar of the T&C options and pasting the link appropriately on the field provided.

By doing this, when the participant clicks on your Terms & Conditions, they will instead be taken to the URL of the page you put under the URL field.

If any of these options don't work for you, or if you have other questions, you can contact Support (support@upviral.com) to assist you further. We are always more than happy to help you out!
