This guide will list down the steps needed to integrate Postmark Email Server with UpViral Campaigns.

A - Setup Postmark

1 - Create a Server on PostMark

To start off create an account on Postmark and click on “Create Server” and give a name to your server.

2 - Adding your Sender Signatures and Verified Domains

In order to send through Postmark, you’ll need to have a Sender Signature set up for each address you want to use in the From field of your messages. If you are sending from several or more email addresses on a domain, you can use Domain Verification to verify an entire domain for sending.

Here is a guide to verify a domain on Postmark, but we suggest that you verify only 1 email.

Later on, if you need to add more Sender Signatures or Domains, you can add those on the “Sender Signatures” page.

Once you add a Sender Signature, a confirmation email will be sent automatically from Postmark to the email address you added.

Once you activate a Sender Signature, you’ll want to move onto configuring the authentication for the domain. But this is optional as only verifying 1 email address will be enough for UpViral ( in case you want to send and receive email on 1 email id only)

Note -  If you proceed with Domain Verification, you will not need to add any more Sender Signatures for that domain since the entire domain will be authorized for sending through Postmark. This will also eliminate any further confirmation emails from needing to be sent.

B - Setup UpViral

After setting up PostMark, you will now need to configure UpViral.

1 - Adding a Sender Profile on UpViral

Now you will need to create a Sender Profile on UpViral.

Please note that the Name and Email address on the Sender Profile will be the same as the Sender Signature you created on PostMark.

To create Sender Profile, log in to UpViral Dashboard and click “Settings”.

When inside the settings you will see “Email Settings” with the “Sender Profile” option in it.

On the Email Settings there's a button that says “ Add an Email Sender”. When you click “ Add an Email Sender” it will open a popup that will let you create a Sender Profile.

Add in the Name, Email and Address of the sender profile you want to create. As told above it should be the same as you set up in Sender Signature on PostMark.

2- Changing UpViral Email Servers to PostMark

The last step in the setup process is changing the default UpViral email servers to PostMark servers.

To do that go to UpViral Dashboard > Settings > General Settings and select PostMark from the list of Outgoing Email Servers.

UpViral will need the PostMark API key to successfully connect and use PostMark email server.

To get your API Key, head back to the PostMark Dashboard > Your Server > Credentials Page and you will see a Server API key ( you can always generate new API Keys if you want)

Copy this Server API key and paste it in the UpViral Outgoing Email settings for PostMark.

Once done, click “Save” at the bottom of the page and the PostMark Email Server configuration is complete.

You can test it out by signing up for your contest / or your friend before you start promoting the contest to your audience.
