This guide outlines a step-by-step process for creating a campaign that can be seamlessly integrated with your Shopify opt-in and share pages. By following the steps outlined below, you will be able to:

  • Create an opt-in page and share page in Shopify.
  • Integrate the opt-in page and share page codes.


(Note: If you haven't created your Upviral campaign, you may follow the steps on How to create a campaign?)



Step 1 - Before you begin, ensure that you have created your opt-in and share pages on Shopify. Typically, you will need two pages for this purpose. 


To get started, log in to your Shopify store Dashboard and navigate to the Online Store menu. From there, select Pages.


Once you are in the Pages section of your Shopify Dashboard, click on the "Add Page" button. You can name this page anything you like, such as "Opt-in Page". 


Create another page, such as "Share Page", and then you'll be ready to proceed with setting up an UpViral campaign.




Step 2 - Installation


On the Publish page, click on the “Embed Campaign” button then click “+ Embed campaign on another website”



2.1. This will direct you to the next page where you will:

  • Select "Embed Upviral opt-in Widget" if you want to embed the widget as Popover.

  • Add the website URL where you wish to embed the opt-in widget.


2.2. In the Opt-in widget settings, you can choose Popover to display a button on the corner of your website. When the button is clicked, the UpViral widget will be displayed in a popover. You can also customize the design of the button.


6.3. In the Share widget settings, you have two options. You can choose to display the share widget on the same page as your opt-in widget or redirect it to another page using a third-party tool.


If you choose to redirect the share widget to another page, you will need to enter the page URL where you want it to appear after the user has signed up. You will also be able to preview your Share widget as shown below:


2.4. The fourth step provides you with the necessary codes that you need to copy and paste into your website's editor. If you are unsure how to add the codes to your webpage, you may need to seek assistance from your web host.


On the Installation page, copy the "Embed Opt-in Widget" code, and then go to your Shopify opt-in page to paste the code.



In your Shopify opt-in page editor, click on the "HTML" button, and then paste the Upviral opt-in widget code. Finally, click on "Save" to save the changes.



Return to the Upviral Installation page and copy the code for the Share widget.


In your Shopify Share page editor, click on the "HTML" button, and then paste the Upviral share widget code. Finally, click on "Save" to save the changes. Once both the opt-in and share pages have been edited and saved, publish them.


To test your Upviral integration, go back to the Installation page and click on "Test Embedding". If the test is successful, click on "Save" to apply the changes. 




Lastly, configure the destination of your referral traffic by specifying the URL where you want to redirect the referral links of your participants. This will determine where your participants' referral leads will be redirected to once they click on the referral link.
